Welcome to the SAALT and SALALS annual conference website.

This year the conference will be held in Pretoria at the University of Pretoria's Groenkloof Campus.

The conference themes for this year:

  • Intellectual: Indigenous languages in contemporary African society
  • Visual: De Stijl art movement

Conference Fees:

  • Registration: R4,000 (All inclusive) 
  • Registered students (proof required): R2,800
  • Day registration: R750 (Gala dinner excluded)

Additional tickets:

  • Sunday evening: Welcome reception (R150)
  • Wednesday evening: Gala dinner (R350)
